Synopsis:
Santiago, a corporal in the Argentine police force, crosses the border into Uruguay fleeing other police officers who are looking for him. Using his uniform, he inspects regional food stalls, trying dairy products and sausages to survive, while trying to go unnoticed among the locals. Without money or lodging but with empathy and cunning, he begins to plot a new life, receiving the help of local characters he crosses along the way and even meets who he believes may be the love of his life.

Bio Director:
Daniel Hendler was born in Montevideo on January 3, 1976. He is an actor, director and screenwriter. He starred in numerous feature films and received for them numerous awards at several festivals (Berlin, Lima, Biarritz, Lleida , Bafici and others). He directed some short films and collaborated on film scripts by Daniel Burman, Ariel Winograd and Natalia Meta. In 2010 he released his first feature film as a screenwriter and director, NORBERTO´S DEADLINE, produced by Cordón Films, winner of the TVE Award in San Sebastian, in addition to numerous international distinctions. In 2016 he ventured into television directing GUIA 19172, a TV series about the regulation of cannabis in Uruguay, winner of several awards in specialized festivals. He also wrote, directed and starred the series THE DIVISION (2017) and THE DEMONS (2018), Star Amets Award in Bilbao SeriesLand. THE CANDIDATE (2016), his second feature film as screenwriter and director, was the winner of the Best Director award at the Miami International Festival, Best Screenplay at the New York Havana Film Festival and Best Coproduction in San Pablo Latin American Film Festival, among other recognitions.
