Iñaki, the programmer of a prestigious theater festival held annually in Barcelona, arrives in Montevideo for vacation. Confused and eager to be selected for the festival, members of Montevideo's theater companies try to catch the attention of the Catalan so he will come to see their plays. This soon turns into harassment and sparks rivalries between the different theater groups, who, in their desire to be chosen by the programmer, are willing to take the situation to unexpected extremes.

Adrian Biñez was born on August 28, 1974, in Remedios de Escalada, Lanús, Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his artistic career as a singer and songwriter for the independent rock band Reverb in the 1990s. He developed his film career in Uruguay starting in 2004, playing a small role as a karaoke singer in the movie Whisky, directed by Juan Pablo Rebella and Pablo Stoll. He directed the short films 8 horas (2006) and Total disponibilidad (2008). In 2009, he premiered Gigante, his first feature film as a director, which won three awards at the Berlin Film Festival, among many other international awards. In 2014, he released his second feature film, El 5 de Talleres, which was shown at the Venice Film Festival. And in 2018, he released Las Olas. He co-directed, along with Pablo Stoll, the series Todos detrás de Momo (2018), a project that won the Seriesuy competition.
