Javier Toledo Sarthou is a Uruguayan filmmaker, cinematographer and video editor with almost 15 years of experience across documentary, film, commercial, branded and digital content. His work spans the entire visual storytelling process, from camera operation and visual development to editing and post-production. He specializes in transforming raw footage, interviews and archival material into engaging narratives, with a strong focus on pacing, structure, sound, music and visual storytelling. His experience includes documentary films, television productions, corporate and branded content, commercials, music videos, interviews, trailers and short-form social media campaigns for international and local brands. In 2025, he completed Legend of Zelda: Open World Pivotal Saga, his feature-length documentary directorial debut, an independently produced film exploring the evolution and cultural impact of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask and its pivotal open-world entries. Alongside his filmmaking and editing work, Javier continues to develop new workflows incorporating AI-assisted tools for video, image and audio production, combining emerging technology with traditional storytelling and post-production techniques. Based in Montevideo, Uruguay, he is available for international and remote collaborations in film, documentary, branded content, digital media and post-production.
