Virginia Hinze
Graduate in Audiovisual Communication, she starts her career by producing several short films, TV programs, directing a series of 13 programs for TV Ciudad, production of different radio programs, theater plays, and collaborating with several journalist reports for the supplement Cultural from the newspaper El País. Sin 1999 she works in Metrópolis Films as advertising spots production and production services for renowned producers such as RSA (Ridley Scott). During these years she is also part of the production team of Miami Vice (Michael Mann), Amazing Race, among others. In 2012 she creates, together with Lucía Gaviglio, U FILMS, a company devoted to developing national and international audiovisual projects (Gilda, A 60km/h, Mi Mundial, Malamadre, No Viajare Escondida, Tus Padres Volverán.)
In 2002 she moves to Madrid (where she will live for four years), and she works as a producer in advertising spots, video clips, documentaries for History Channel, and institutional videos. In 2006, back in Uruguay, she sets up the producer Expresso Films.
Mal día para pescar was released at the International Festival of Cannes in 2009, which entailed her first feature film as Executive Producer.
