Metropolis Films
Founded in 1991, Metropolis Films grew from a small local production company into an international audiovisual production network. In the year 2000 Metropolis Films Corp. of Puerto Rico was founded serving the local advertising community, the Caribbean and the United States. In 2003 Metropolis Films started its division of international production services, focusing on Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States, and in 2006 opened its own company in Buenos Aires serving the international and local market. Diversifying its services, Metropolis Films included the production of episodes for The Amazing Race / CBS TV and services for feature films such as Miami Vice for Universal Pictures / Michael Mann, Zoop for Endemol / NL Film and Am Kap der Liebe for Phoenix Film, as well as documentaries production for HBO, National Geographic, The History Channel and Discovery Channel. In 2007, and along with all the other services, the company started to develop and co-produce feature films, documentaries and TV content for theatrical and network distribution. Further expanding its presence in the region, Metropolis Films opened production companies in Colombia, Mexico and Barcelona and has production partnerships in Chile and Costa Rica. Today Metropolis Films complements production services with state-of-the-art facilities, covering all Latin America and the Caribbean.
