TOMTE

Mario is the new doorman of an old building with a few peculiar inhabitants. While working, Mario discovers a small green door in the garage. There lives a family of gnomes, who are trapped underground and are chased by a goblin. Mario does his best to free them. With the help of Sebastian, a 10-year-old boy, he will be able to decipher messages and allow the gnome family to return home.

He was born in 1984 in Montevideo. He became interested in cinema and was initially self-taught by making videos with friends. He graduated from the ECU Uruguayan Film School and participated with a scholarship in several intensive workshops, such as the Berlinale Talent Campus in Germany and the Film Program of the Cannes Festival, France. He has made numerous short films, and an independent feature film, selected and awarded at international festivals.
