Synopsis:
In small villages lost in the middle of the Uruguayan countryside a group of clever rural kids will show you, while designing and programming robots, all you need to know about the future, and how to get there.

Bio Director:
Pablo Casacuberta / Director Montevideo, 1969 Filmmaker, writer and visual artist. Master of Arts in Experimental Media. He has been nominated for a Latin Grammy for best video, and has won a Clio. He directed the series “Tu casa es mi casa”, shown on HBO and produced by NBC Universal, filmed in 12 cities in Latin America and hosted by Paulinho Moska. He has directed three fearture lenght films. Together with Yukihiko Goto, he made an experimental feature film in England (“Another George”). Also a documentary film, “Clemente, los aprendizajes de un maestro”. In 2021 he directed the film “Soñar Robots”. He has also produced second unit scenes for Alfonso Cuarón, Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu and Terrence Malick. As an author, he published nine fiction books in Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Croatia, France and Argentina. He has won twice the National Prize for Literature awarded by the Ministry of Education and Culture of his country, as well as three times the Prize for Unpublished Narrative of the city of Montevideo. In 2007 the “Hay Festival” selected him to be included in the group “Bogotá 39”, a selection of the most promising writers under 40 in Latin America. As a visual artist, he has exhibited painting and photography in New York, Venice and Montevideo, and has published a book of his photographs and a painting book. He also released an album of primarily orchestral compositions in Uruguay that was nominated for the Graffiti Prize for the best instrumental music album.
