Synopsis:
Perkal is a surname of Polish origin, like my whole family. It is my surname, but it is also my nickname and a way of referring to me. Perkal, la memoria de un nombre is a quest to understand the weight of inheritance and the meaning of continuity. A journey that seeks to recompose a fragmented and silenced memory in order to give voice to a present.
Bio Director:
Documentarian and film and TV editor. Máster in documentary Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. She has edited the documentary Alcira y el campo de espigas and directed the medium-length film Desmemorias y Suburbano. She is currently shooting Perkal, the story behind a name, her first documentary feature film as Director.
