Nicolás Botana (Uruguay, 1986) is a screenwriter, director and Film Editor. Started working as a film director, shooting fiction in 2008. Later on started working as an Editor for important local production companies. By 2013 started working for a content platform directing and editing. One of his shorts, Demasiada Agua, had its world premiere in AFI Film Fest and participated in several festivals. She has directed and exhibited several award-winning short films. In 2021 she directed one of the stories of the international Netflix docu-series "Stories of a generation with Pope Francis". She is currently working on the development of her feature film "Ese todo que es solo mio" with Montelona Cine and co-writing the Colombian series "Fin de mes", both projects selected in the “Curso de Desarrollo de Proyectos Audiovisuales Iberoamericanos”.
