Synopsis:

A heat wave strikes a seaside resort in Uruguay. Vera and her grandmother Tere spend the last summer days together, but this vacation is different. Tere insists on betting at the casino, caring for her best friend Elsa, and drinking whisky. As tourists leave, what remains unspoken has the same effect as the heat: it suffocates and keeps away from sleeping.
