TABULA RASA

Facundo Balza is a Uruguayan film director and producer born in 2005. His first university short film as writer and director, Espírita (2025), was selected for the Fantastic Workshop 2024, organized by ACAU and BIFFF, and presented at Ventana Sur and at the BIF Market in Brussels. Since then he has focused his work on production with the short films S22 (fiction) and Las películas de mi pueblo (documentary). Tabula Rasa is his new project as writer and director and his most personal work to date. In this work he returns to the tensions and fractures that define his perspective, pushing his thematic exploration into a more radical and exposed territory.
