Synopsis:
In 2025, the Uruguayan rock band La Vela Puerca turned 30. Still intact, still together, still moving audiences across continents, the band represents a rare anomaly. Through tours, rehearsals, archive footage and intimate conversations, “Llenos de magia” explores how a group of friends has sustained a shared utopia over three decades. The film observes the present moment of the band to reflect on permanence, time, creativity and the delicate balance between growing up and staying true.
Bio Director:
Rodrigo Labella is a Uruguayan filmmaker with a background in music, documentary and audiovisual production. He has worked as a manager, producer and chronicler of the rock scene, directing music videos and filming large-scale live concerts in Argentina and Uruguay. He has directed television programs, streaming productions and commercials, and worked as Assistant Director on feature films. In 2018, he won the Graffiti Award for Best Special Edition for Festejar para Sobrevivir, a documentary about La Vela Puerca. He was responsible for the production of Montevideo Inolvidable(2025), directed by Alfredo Ghierra. Lolo Paradell is a Uruguayan director and screenwriter with extensive experience in documentary, music-related projects and audiovisual content. His work explores collective identities, memory and creative processes, often linked to music and culture. He has collaborated on documentaries, music films and audiovisual projects for artists and cultural institutions. In 2018, he won the Graffiti Award for Best Special Edition for Festejar para Sobrevivir, a documentary on the 20th anniversary of La Vela Puerca, consolidating his long-standing creative relationship with the band.
