This foundational initiative promoted by the Rocha Departmental Municipality – Uruguay and directed/produced by its location office Rocha Filma, aims to establish with continuity in time, a space of tourist-cultural convergence in one of the most attractive resorts of the eastern coast: Punta del Diablo (Rocha Department, Uruguay).
The “Trident” concept is based on the fact that the artistic contents of the exhibition have as main participants the trilogy of countries of Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil participating with their most relevant contemporary audiovisual productions and personalities of the respective media. At the same time and in the same etymological sense of the concept, it alludes to the name of the town (Punta del Diablo) with a sense of belonging. During four days, the local public and tourists enjoy a diverse program, having as inaugural scenario the fascinating beaches of Punta del Diablo. Central films from the countries represented, plus a guest country film, short films, documentaries, children’s films and lectures by professionals in the field, are the comprehensive proposal to postulate this region of Uruguay as a new film/audiovisual epicenter.
