Synopsis:

Nieves is my oldest neighbor, and the eldest. She has just turned 90, and for the last 15 years we have been living next door, our balconies side by side, in the Old City of Montevideo. I thought I knew her. I filmed her during lockdown in 2020, and I discovered a woman undone in light and flourished in stars.

Sergio De León is the director of Nieves Flourished in Stars 2022 and The intention of Hummingbird 2019. He is currently working on his first fiction film Siempre Vuelven Cordón Films.
