EL FILMADOR

Cinematographic notes kept in the dark since 1950 and a literary diary discovered in 2010 narrate episodes in common, both of them from the Uruguayan writer José Pedro Díaz. In the present age, this documentary narrates the rescue in which art, memory and existence blend into one same story.

Aldo Garay, Uruguayan filmmaker, has received multiple international distinctions for the ten documentary and one narrative feature films he has directed, including the Teddy Award for The New Man at the Berlinale. Retrospectives of his work have been held at Bafici, Fidocs and at the National Cineteca of México.
